Blockbuster announces today new pricing for their DVD rental by mail subscriptions.

Existing and new customers can now get the lowest plan for $4.99/month.
Blockbuster Mail is geared towards customers who do not have a Blockbuster store in the vicinity to benefit from the Total Access offering.

The most popular three-out unlimited movie plan which will now be offered at $16.99 for BLOCKBUSTER By Mail subscribers.
The $4.99/month only gets you two DVDs per month. The cheapest unlimited rental plan is $8.99, where you can have one DVD at home, but get as many as you can during the month.
Consumers can log on to Blockbuster to sign up for a free two-week trial of either BLOCKBUSTER Total Access or BLOCKBUSTER By Mail.
