As reported a couple days ago the M300 GSM wristphone is available from Asian sellers on eBay. I4U reader John T. from Greece got his M300 and sent us his first impressions. John ordered the M300 from Australian SMS Technology already back in 2006, but got tired of waiting. As soon as he found out that the watch phone sells on eBay, he bought it.
He tested the M300 GSM wristphone with Vodafone Greece and the calls worked very well. The signal strength seems to be good as well. The casing of the watch is made from plastic with a screw-on backside. The SIM card needs to be placed in the back under the battery.
It is possibly to use the watch without Bluetooth headset by talking into the watch. The built-in speakers are not very powerful though.
John's verdict is that the M300 is worth the money. He paid about $255 on eBay UK.
Update 06/27/07:
SMS Technology informed us that the offered M300 wrist watches are pirated and illegal fakes. Please do not purchase. The new M500 touchscreen watch phone from SMS Technology is anyway much better.
Gadget shop Brando also has now the M300 wristphone in their store. The shop sells the M300 for $305 and ship international.
The M300 appeared first from Australian SMS Technology, but the never shipped it. They are supposed to ship now the M500 wristphone. The latest update on their site says that DHL delivery numbers will be posted today for those who ordered the M500 wristphone.
Please email us when you received your M500 and let us know how you like it.
