New Ricoh Caplio 400G Digital Camera Announced

Ricoh Corporation (Japan) will start sales of its new waterproof and dustproof digital camera called the Caplio 400G Wide January 30th, 2004. The expected street price will be 99,000yen.
The camera uses a 35mm film conversion lens with a focal length of 28 – 85mm (F2.6 – 4.3) and an optical 3x zoom. The camera is a 3.24 megapixel camera with a ½.7 inch primary color CCD processor.
The camera can record pictures in resolutions of 2048x1536 / 1280x960 / 640x480 pixels. The camera can also record movies, commonly referred to digital clip movies, with resolutions of 320x240 (duration 30 seconds) and 160x120 (duration 120 seconds). The camera range is 0.3 meters to infinity.
