Australian SMS Technology informed us that the M300 wristphones that appeared on Asian retailers and eBay over the last couple of weeks are illegal copies of SMS Technology initial Wristphone.

Early June we reported about M300 named Wristphones appearing on the market after SMS Technology said to not sell the M300 and instead right away start selling the more advanced M500 Wrist phone.

SMS Technology says that the offered M300 watch phones have no FCC, CE or ROHS approvals and that the shut down the production of the copy-cat watchphones in China. The company also instructed eBay to remove the offers for the M300.

So stay away from the M300 wrist phone offers, they are fakes and you should not support product piracy. The SMS Technology M500 is anyway much better. Now only local distribution of the M500 has to get started to make it affordable.
