Meridian audio has announced one of the most expensive DVD Surround Sound receivers that I have seen in a long time called the G95. This beast carries an MSRP of a whopping $8495.
What do you get for your nearly $8500? Faroudja technology with HDMI output supporting 1080p, 1080i, 720p, and 480p. The system can route upscaled signals up to pass through 1080i through its analog component input. DVDs are slot loaded as well making for a more compact system.
The G95 uses an all-metal chassis utilizing the finest components available and comes in a black and silver color scheme. The system also comes with Meridian’s proprietary MSR+ tabletop system remote. Via Meridian
