Sharp announced today 5 new digital Hi-Vision recorder in Japan including the DV-ACW80 with 1TB storage.

Sharp improved their line-up of digital recorder with these new devices. The top model DV-ACW80 has the world's fastest start-up time of 0.8s along with the smaller DV-ACW75 and DV-ACW72.

Other features include IrSS (high speed infra-red), improved EPG, 10bit/148.5MHz image DAC and compact form factor with measurements of 434×343×68mm.
The Sharp Aquos DV-ACW80, DV-ACW75 (500GB) and DV-ACW72 (250GB) will go on sale in August. The Sharp DV-AC75 (500GB) and DV-AC72 (250GB) will start shipping in September.
