I don’t know about you, but between my PSP, three cell phones and a bunch of other gadgets that need plugged in to charge it seems there is never a plug around where I need it to be.
Sure most building codes say there has a be a outlet within six feet of an area, but six feet is a long way. Not to mention that most of the outlets in homes end up being behind something that is inevitably too heavy to move.
Eubiq is a new system that is available in both 110v and 230v systems that uses outlets that slide along a track on the wall allowing you to place them wherever you need them. Supposedly, a child could put their finger in the track and not get shocked. The maximum length of the track is 11.81 feet. I guess the really geeky types could fill the entire nearly 12-foot length with plugs and power everything they own from one room. Via Coolest-Gadgets
