While you may have never heard of Paleo Entertainment before, any gamer worth his salt ahs heard of Crytek, the makers of Far Cry. Paleo Entertainment is announcing today that they have licensed Crytek’s CryENGINE 2 for a new and original FPS PC game called “Merchants of Brooklyn.”

The concept are pictured here has a cartoonish feel to it, but using one of the most visually impressive engines around will probably mean more realism in the finished game.

Paleo certainly cant be accused of copying anyone else’s game with “Merchants of Brooklyn” which is described in this way on the Paleo website: “The Merchants of Brooklyn (M.O.B.) is a First Person Shooter single player/multiplayer game that takes place during 3100 A.D. Play as Matteo Savio from a young boy named Matty in Brooklyn to Dr. Savio, PHD - Director of Genetics on Planet Paleo as he makes his way from day to day MOB life, Scientific Education and Galactic adventures.”

We can safely assume that by using the Crytek engine that M.O.B will be a DirectX 10 game and if it comes anywhere near, the visual quality we have seen from Crysis screen shots using the same 3D engine it should look fantastic.
