No iPhone Deal in Europe yet

The week of rumors about which carrier in Europe is making the iPhone deal is finally getting to an end. The Guardian reports today that O2 denies a deal with Apple.
The report also says that Vodafone did not sign, because of Apple's high demands.
A week ago Vodafone was rumored to have a deal. The last couple of days the O2 rumor dominated.
Newswireless, which broke the Vodafone rumor still believes that Vodafone will get it. He sees confirmation in the files found in the iPhone ROM that name Vodafone and T-Mobile besides AT&T.
At this point it is still up in the air, which carrier will make a deal with Apple to offer the iPhone in Europe. It is also still unclear if a 3G version of the iPhone will be available in Europe. Current rumors suggest that a 3G iPhone would be available earliest in 2008.
