The Future Now: SARS Virus Killing Face Mask

Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Ltd. has developed a mask that helps prevent wearers from catching infectious diseases such as SARS.
The mask's fibers are created through a chemical bond between natural enzymes that break down a virus' surface proteins, which enable it to penetrate human cells. The fibers kill bacteria and dissolve mold on contact.
The mask will go on sale for 500 yen, probably beginning this month.
