Features & Specifications
Overclockers will love the ThermoHAWK 200 Touchless Thermometer; it can give you the temperature of your internal components in seconds allowing you to see where the hot spots on your mainboard are. Armed with this information you can set about placing heat sinks and fans in the optimum positions to disperse the heat hopefully gaining you more speed in the process. There are also a number of other uses within the home as well. I found the ThermoHAWK 200 Touchless Thermometer great for checking preheat temps when cooking taking the guess work out of setting the temperature.

If you like to work on your car you can use the ThermoHAWK 200 Touchless Thermometer to check the heat of your engine components too. If you are into nitro powered RC vehicles the ThermoHAWK 200 Touchless Thermometer is fantastic for checking engine temperature. Running your nitro engine too lean can result in over heating and the ThermoHAWK makes checking that your engine is running within acceptable heat levels, and thus not too lean a snap.

To use the ThermoHAWK 200 Touchless Thermometer all you need to do is remove the little silver cap that covers the temperature probe. The cap fits quite tightly to help prevent damage to the sensor so it can be hard to remove. Once the cap is off you simply hold down the button next to the LCD screen and you get your reading in one second. Accuracy of the ThermoHAWK is good at +/- 2.5% from 100 to 230 degrees Fahrenheit. If you prefer your readings in Celsius you can change the scale by pressing an internal button with a paper clip.

Taking Measurements & Use
The ThermoHAWK 200 Touchless Thermometer has an operating range of -27 to 230 degrees Fahrenheit. You can measure virtually any surface with the ThermoHAWK 200 Touchless Thermometer and it uses a 1:1 ration for the distance from the sensor to the area measured. That means if you want to measure a skillet that has nine inches in diameter you need to have the ThermoHAWK nine inches from the surface.

Portability is a key aspect to the design of the ThermoHAWK 200 Touchless Thermometer. It only weighs 45g and has a keychain clip on the end so you can take it with you on the go. The ThermoHAWK 200 Touchless Thermometer is an excellent addition to the tool kit for any computer geek or system admin. The only issue I saw with the ThermoHAWK 200 Touchless Thermometer was that the button that turns it on is easy to accidentally press, especially if you carry the thermometer in your pocket.
