Flat parts of the surface of the Laptop Desk 2.0 are covered with non-skid rubber that not only keeps your notebook from slipping off the stand, but also helps to cool it by conduction. LapWorks claims that they have proven these cooling methods to reduce notebook temperatures by 15% to 20%. Two color options are available, all black and a black and gray version. Laptop Desk 2.0 in Use I hate using the touchpad on notebook computers, much preferring to connect a real USB mouse. The problem with working with a notebook is that if you aren’t sitting at a desk it is nearly impossible to use an external mouse. If you unfold the Laptop Desk 2.0 you end up with a light-weight lap desk that has plenty of room for your notebook and room to spare for your mouse. The Laptop Desk 2.0 also keeps the hot laptop off your legs, keeping you cooler as well. Size wise, the Laptop Desk 2.0 should be small enough to fit into most medium sized or larger laptop bags when folded. The MSRP is only $29.95 and it is avaialble now.
