Features & Specifications The remote uses a super wide IR with a digital rudder and proportional speed control. The plane charges from the remote in 10-12 minutes giving a 7-minute flight time. The remote is powered by four AA batteries. A wall hook is included for handing the plane on the wall. Charging and Flight To charge the plane you simply press the charge connector on the plane onto the charge connector built-in to the control. There are no cables to plug in or fiddle with. There is a bit of a learning curve for the controls that lead to several crashes for me. Thankfully, the low speeds, low weights and impact resistant foam construction of the Palm Z Airplane make breaking the plane difficult. Once you get the hang of the controls, you can do stunts like loops easily. The plane is so light that any breezes from open windows or AC/heat ducts will throw the controls off, so beware of your environment. During my testing, I crashed the plane repeatedly into walls, doors, windows, my daughter, just about every surface in my home. The plane held up well and showed no wear from the crashes. The plane even stood up to a 2-year old playing with it, which lots of stuff that comes through my office doesn’t do so well. Overall, the Palm Z Airplane is very fun to play with and a great stable mate to the Picco Z helicopter. My kids loved the plane, I had a blast with it and you can fly three of them at once so the whole family can get in on the fun. We had a pair of the planes here for testing and had great fun crashing them into each other. The Palm Z Airplane is a very well constructed toy that retails for $39.50 and will make a fantastic gift for young and old.
