Features & Specifications The Lowepro CompuTrekker Plus AW is designed to hold notebooks up to 15.4-inches in screen size, professional DSLR cameras, 4-5 lenses, flash and accessories. In reality, most of us will be able to get much more inside this bag than we want to take with us on the road. The front of the Lowepro CompuTrekker Plus AW has a removable, adjustable cradle for a tripod to be secured. A small zippered pouch underneath the tripod area stows a weatherproof bag cover that will protect your sensitive electronics from rain if you are caught outdoors during a storm. The first compartment is for your notebook computer. A padded, removable carry sleeve with its own shoulder strap is included that will fit notebooks with screens up to 15.4-inches. On the front flap of the notebook compartment is an organizer that holds pens, business cards and more. Behind the notebook sleeve on the back of the notebook compartment is a small Velcro closure pouch that is perfect for storing extra memory cards for your camera. A tether is also located in this area to hold your keys. There is extra room in the notebook area for some accessories like your mouse, a thin keyboard or your notebook power adapter. The cavernous main compartment of the Lowepro CompuTrekker Plus AW is where all the real magic with this bag happens. Everything inside this compartment is modular and you can change the arrangement to suit your needs. The compartment has a front flap that opens all the way up and lies back out of your way providing completely unrestricted access to the main area. Around the inside of the area are lots of Velcro style material and the individual dividers inside the bag have Velcro on them as well. This allows you to move, remove and configure the bag to an overwhelming amount of different set ups. Also included with the bag is a zippered pouch that stows inside the main camera area for smaller accessories and cables you need on the road. Another zippered pouch attaches to the top area of the bag and is sized well for smaller items or sunglasses. On the back of the top flap for the main compartment are two plastic pouches that are zippered and have leather tabs to cover the zippers so they don’t scratch your gear. This is a large and heavy bag, so there will be times you don’t want to wear it on your back. For those times, a retractable handle and inline skate wheels make for very smooth pulling of the bag. The backpack shoulder straps stow away and converting from backpack to pull bag is very easy. The sides of the bag also feature compression straps to help keep things as slim as possible. This bag is also sized to be a carryon for air travel. In Use I thought my Tom Bihn Brain Bag was big and held lots of gear, but the Lowepro CompuTrekker Plus AW is simply huge. It is fantastic to be able to carry my Nikon D80 DSLR, ne MacBook, all the accessories I need to a work trip and still have room to poke swag and press materials from whatever show I am covering at the time. If you travel with your computer, camera, and other gear frequently the Lowepro CompuTrekker Plus AW is simply one of the best bags you will find to protect and organize your gear for a road trip.
