The ezVision Video Glasses simulate a 50-inch viewable image from 8.5 feet away. The glasses are light and comfortable to use. The small battery pack also houses all the plugs and connectors for the video glasses and has 8 hours of battery life on one charge. A set of ear buds with coiled cords are included and built into the side of the glasses along with a volume control on the battery portion of the device. The field of view for the glasses is 25 degrees. The resolution is 320 x 240, aspect ratio is 4:3, contrast ratio is 200:1 and they are compatible with NTSC/PAL/SECAM formats.

In Use
To test out the ezVision Video Glasses I connected them to my Nintendo Wii via the included composite cable. An iPod cable is available as an option and required to use the ezVision Video Glasses with your iPod. The battery used for the ezVision Video Glasses charges via an included AC adapter. You can use the glasses while they are connected to the AC adapter.

Setting the glasses up simply requires plugging the cable from the glasses into the battery pack and connecting the composite cables from your video source, the Wii in my case, to the adapter. I found that for playing on the Wii where you are standing most of the time the cord from the glasses to the battery was too short. It could have used a few more feet of length. However, when sitting the cable is plenty long.

The image quality was decent with the ezVision Video Glasses. I found it a bit distracting when playing that I could see around the sides of the screen. This is a good thing though once you get used to it since you can still see what’s going on around you while you use the ezVision Video Glasses.

The sound quality was good with the included ear buds and the levels of volume the ear buds are capable of are more than antiquate. The sound lacked bass so explosions and music were flat. The glasses are comfortable for extended wear and sized to fit most adults. Younger kids and small teens may find the glasses are too big and uncomfortable to wear though. My 7-year-old son couldn’t keep the glasses in place while playing the Wii.

A number of accessories are available for the ezVision Video Glasses including cables for PSP (only for video), iPod, S-video sources, and the Creative Zen Vision. A small portable DVD player is also available that connects directly to the glasses. Pricing for the glasses is around $299.99.
