The TechLasers Crossfire 300mW laser has a key like the ones that would open a coke machine that plugs into the side and an adapter that looks like an S-video cable end minus the cable. Both of these must be plugged in for the laser to function. Unlike other lasers I have tested before, the TechLasers Crossfire 300mW has a clicking on/off switch that allows for continuous operation. The end of the laser is designed to be a large heatsink so it doesn’t overheat. A rotating cover protects the end of the laser as well. In Use Popping balloons was fun and very easy to do, taking a bit more time as it pops them in a line as the balloons are further from the laser source. My kids were thoroughly impressed with lighting candles using the TechLasers Crossfire 300mW laser. This trick required a steady hand and a long time to get the candle to light. Going outside in the dark the TechLasers Crossfire 300mW laser is so bright you can point out things in the night sky with ease, stargazers will appreciate that fact. The laser can travel a very long way so you have to be mindful of what you are aiming at. The duty cycle on the laser is 100% meaning you never have to turn it off; you can operate the laser until the battery runs down. The brightness of the laser means you can see it easily in the daylight as well.
