Features & Specifications
The Phosphor E-Ink watch is a larger watch design with a diameter of 45mm and a thickness of 13mm. Phosphor says the watch is water resistant to five atmospheres. The cool E-Ink display can change through several display layouts and can be white with black numbers or black with white numbers. Two band styles are available with a cross-stitched black leather band and black polyurethane band.

There are approximately ten different user-selectable modes for the watch. Each mode changes the layout of the watch face and color. Some of the options for layout feature numbers for the analog style face all around, some feature only quarter hour numbers marked while some have no marking on the watch face at all. You can also choose modes that feature a digital clock on the watch face or the day and date on the watch face.

Wear & Use
Changing the watch mode is easy to do with the dual buttons on the right side of the watch arrayed above and below the knob for setting the analog time. The top button when held in allows you to set the date or the time for the digital clock. The button under the watch knob allows you to choose the color and change the layout of the face. Holding the bottom know in changes the style of the face and allows for more selections.

The band on my review watch was black leather that is of high quality. The band is secured to the watch face with tiny screws rather than spring-loaded bars you see on some watches. The leather band has many adjustment options so it would fit most wearers form large adults to smaller teens or kids wanting a cool watch. The face of the watch is all stainless steel with the surround directly around the watch face done with a shiny chrome like finish and the case in a brushed stainless finish. The sides of the watch have a shiny stainless inset on each side as well to offer more contrast.

The Phosphor E-Ink watch is very attractive to most people, though some will find it too large. It’s been a long time since I wore a watch regularly; I typically use the clock on my cell phone for the time. The Phosphor E-Ink watch is comfortable to wear, but feels slightly heavy. Those used to wearing a watch probably won’t notice this as much as I did. The water resistant nature of the watch means you shouldn’t have to worry when you wash your hands. The price for the Phosphor E-Ink watch with either the leather or the polyurethane band is $250. The watch does lack a backlight, so telling time in the dark will be a real issue.
