All Reviews | More Portable Media Player Reviews Insignia Sport 2GB Video MP3 Player with Bluetooth ReviewDate: 2008-02-07 Reviewed by: Shane McGlaun Manufacturer: Insignia Features & Specifications The Insignia Sport 2GB MP3 player is compatible with Mac and PC and supports Rhapsody To Go, Urge, iTunes, Napster and more in addition to being PlaysForSure compatible. The player is available in several colors, my test unit was blue. The form factor is very small with a thickness of only 0.4-inches, width of 1.6-inches and a weight of 1.4 ounces. Supported digital formats include MP3, WMA, WMA Lossless, WMA DRM, and OGG. A color matcher pair of ear buds is included as well. In Use The player and stock headphones deliver good bass and sharp highs and lows. The menus are navigated using a round nav wheel that is easy to use and the menus are well laid out. Pairing the Insignia Sport 2GB MP3 player to Insignia branded Bluetooth headphones is easy to do and worked very well. The LCD screen has sharp colors and can play video, though the small size of the screen makes watching videos difficult to do. Still images are also supported as well. The FM tuner works decently, but the antenna doesn’t have much power making for poor reception in areas where I have been able to get good reception on MP3 players before.
