Other supported formats include 576p, 480p, 720p, and 1080p along with a maximum Pc resolution of 1920 x 1200. Inputs are slim by home theater standards with only one single HDMI input, two composite inputs, S-video, two SCART inputs, DVI-D and a trio of audio inputs. The NEC PlasmaSync 60XC10 has no built-in speakers so you have to connect it through your home theater system to external speakers. Image Quality & Use The Tv is capable of being used for HDTV and can play Blu-ray or HD DVD movies thanks to HDCP capability. However, the lack of multiple HD inputs limits the usability yin a home theater setting without resorting to HDMI switches. The lack of internal speakers could be an issue for some users, however most home theater owners buying a 60-inch plasma will likely already have a speaker system in place. Visually the NEC PlasmaSync 60XC10 is very attractive with silver aluminum trim and black accents. Image quality was very good. I watched a Blu-ray film on the NEC PlasmaSync 60XC10 and found the colors to be accurate, bright and vivid. Skin tones were reproduced well and looked very natural. Non HD content was reproduced well and the TV had no noticeable motion blur or ghosting during fast action on screen. If you leave an image on the screen for an extended period of time that is still the NEC PlasmaSync 60XC10 has a screensaver mode that uses three modes.
