Since the keyboard is designed to look like Vista it makes sense for it to have short cut keys like one for Flip 3D built-in. The mouse and keyboard connect to the PC via one USB transceiver that uses 2.4GHz technology. Microsoft promises a 30-foot range and I saw better range than that in testing. The mouse is an ergonomic right hand only design that has a number of buttons on it. The mouse has a magnifier, 4-way scrolling, and five customizable buttons. The mouse buttons are laid out well with the two thumb buttons positioned where they are not likely to be activated by mistake. The mouse has 1000 dpi sensitivity making it more sensitive than typical standard mice. It was accurate during use and only users with 24 or 30-inch display will wish for more sensitivity.
