Features & Specifications The device measures 4.80" x 2.40" x 0.80" and weighs 4.05 ounces. BlueAnt uses a very slick method of securing the Supertooth 3 to your vehicle with magnets on the rear of the device and a pair of metal visor clips included to allow use in two vehicles. Other features include text-to-speech, which allows a human sounding voice to read incoming callers name or caller ID information. The device features noise suppression, echo cancellation, and automatic vibration sensor reconnection. Voice activated dialing and answering of calls is supported. Pairing & Use The text-to-speech function is very appealing and allows the computer-generated voice to read caller ID information including the name of the person calling or the phone number if available. If you want to speak to the person calling all you have to do is say "okay" or "answer" and the Supertooth 3 will automatically connect a call. If your phone supports voice-activated dialing, the Supertooth 3 will allow you to dial a call simply by saying the numbers. It's too bad my iPhone does not support that feature, it would have been very welcome. The device can be used in several different languages including Spanish and you can choose a voice that speaks in a British accent or with an American accent. Voices are easy to understand on both sides of the conversation no matter the situation. There is plenty of volume from the integrated speaker. Pairing the Supertooth 3 to my iPhone was a snap. As soon as you turn on the Supertooth 3 by pressing the green manual call answer button for one second, the device walks you through the pairing process. It even tells you the pairing code so you don't have to dig through the owner's manual. The device can pair to two phones at the same time and can store pairing information for up to eight devices. The noise cancellation features works very well. You can easily hear and be heard when using the Supertooth 3-- even in a noisy car with windows down. Answering calls prompted from the text-to-speech function is easy to do and works well. However, I did find a couple of occasions, a call was answered when I did not say the correct answer phrases. I had also hoped you would be able to decline calls using your voice to send them directly to voicemail, but that feature is not supported. Overall, I can say if I had to choose between a device like the Supertooth 3 or a standard Bluetooth headset, the Supertooth 3 would win. If you live in a state where you need a hands-free kit, BlueAnt's Supertooth 3 is definitely worth a serious look.
