Features & Specifications
The OCZ Dominatrix has adjustable sensitivity of 400, 800, 1600, and 2000 dpi. With software, the sensitivity can be further increased to 3200 dpi. Polling rate for the mouse is 500 Hz and it has a maximum tracking speed of up to 45 inches per second. OCZ says the Dominatrix is capable of a frame rate of 7080 frames per second. Supported operating systems include XP and Vista. Other features include three custom modes, click and keystroke recording, customizable weight up to 40g, and loop and fire key recording.

In Use
The OCZ Dominatrix is a nice gaming mouse that offers many of the features you find on high-end mice costing much more money. The mouse is very accurate at all sensitivity levels and features on-board memory for storing profiles and programming options. The dual side buttons can be programmed to execute commands in game and are positioned well. You can easily reach the side buttons when needed, yet they aren’t in the way where they can be hit accidentally when not wanted.

Adjustable weight is something many mice are coming with today and the OCZ Dominatrix offers that with up to 40g of additional weight that can be added. The scroll wheel offers four-way scroll with enough resistance that you don’t activate the feature accidentally.

When playing FPS titles like Call of Duty 4 or Crysis, the OCZ Dominatrix is very accurate and works well. The highest sensitivity of 3200 dpi is down a bit compared to some other gaming mice on the market, but most gamers will find plenty of sensitivity. Tracking was without issue on all sorts of surfaces I tried from gaming mouse pads to my desktop.

The mouse layout is very good and it feels comfortable in the hand. The blue areas on the side of the mouse are a grippy material that makes holding the mouse easy. Buttons for changing the DPI setting and memory are located just below the scroll wheel and are easy to reach. As you change sensitivity settings, the scroll wheel changes colors to show what level you are using. The design of the mouse is ergonomic and mode for right hand use.

Perhaps the best feature of the OCZ Dominatrix is its price of around $40. That makes the mouse in the area of $30 cheaper than similar products like the Logitech G9. If you are looking for a quality gaming mouse on a budget, the OCZ Dominatrix is one of the best budget gaming mice around.
