All Reviews | More Toys Reviews Whizz Watch ReviewDate: 2008-11-03 Reviewed by: Shane McGlaun Manufacturer: Whizz Features & Specifications In Use Wireless range for the IR controller was about six feet from the car in testing. The vehicle can move on any smooth surface including tile, counter tops and concrete. It lacks the power to travel on carpet or grass. The watch comes with two sets of batteries, which is a good thing. Battery life is not very good. My daughter got about an hour of use out of each set of batteries before they were dead and the car would not respond. Even when power was too low for the remote controlled car to operate, the watch itself still functioned. A snap-in holder on the watchstrap keeps the car attached when not in use. The strap is rather stiff and for very small children it doesn’t go small enough. The watch in Roary form or any other character isn't expensive at about $30. The biggest issue with the Whizz Watch is that you will need lots of LR44 batteries to keep the fun going for any length of time.
