Features & Specifications
The Cooler Master HAF 922 is packed full of the features computer enthusiasts look for. The case is designed for optimum airflow to keep internal components cool under heavy use. The chassis has a 200mm front intake fan, a 120mm rear fan, and a massive top fan to move lots of air. The case can be equipped with up to seven total fans. The front fan has a red LED that glows for looks and can be turned off.

The chassis has enough space inside to hold a radiator for liquid cooling and a hole is cut into the mainboard tray to allow access to the rear of the mainboard for easy attachment of cooling solutions. A cable management system is also integrated into the design.

In Use
The Cooler Master HAF 922 is a very nice looking chassis. When it is powered up and the front LED light is on the case looks very sinister with a red glow coming from the front fan area. All the internal edges of the chassis are rolled so there is less of a chance that you will cut or nick your fingers during the build process. Many cheap cases leave a number of burrs on the inside that cut and have sharp edges as well.

One of the keys to good airflow in an enthusiast PC build is getting the mass of cables stowed neatly out of the way. The Cooler Master HAF 922 has a nice cable management system that allows you to route the cables for optimum airflow. The chassis is black and measures 10" W x 19.7" H x 22.2" D. total weight for the chassis is 19.2 pounds.

The case is built from steel and plastic rather than aluminum, which means it weighs more. I've never really cared what the case to my computer was built form and steel saves on cost. However, some want aluminum cases, so the steel construction could be a bad thing for some users.

The Cooler Master HAF 922 supports ATX and micro ATX mainboards. The chassis has five exposed 5.25-inch drive bays with one that can be converted to a 3.5-inch drive bay. The case has five internal 3.5-inch drive bays to hold plenty of hard drives.

The front panel offers a pair of USB ports, a mic jack, an eSATA port, and a single audio port. The rear of the chassis also offers seven expansion slots and has a bottom area for a standard ATX PS2 power supply. The chassis can be ordered with a power supply already installed as well. The Cooler Master HAF 922 can be had for around $130 online.
