Features & Specifications In Use The device is very easy to pair with my iPhone. The iPhone recognized the BlueAnt S1 right away and after entering the "0000" pin number, the S1 was paired and ready to use. I attached the device to the visor on my car and went about my day as normal. The S1 allows you to answer calls without touching your pone. You can simply say answer or OK and the call is picked up. I did have a couple instances where I didn’t hear the phone ring and the call would be picked up anyway, which can be embarrassing if you are singing away to Britney Spears at the time, not that I do that sort of thing mind you. The ultimate test of the BlueAnt S1's noise cancellation features is driving with the top down. I didn’t expect the device to work well at all. Like most convertibles, the sun visors on a Mustang stick out over the windshield header when the top is down meaning the edge of the visor where the S1 attaches is almost directly in the air streaming over the car. I could talk to the person on the other rend of the call easily and they could hear me with some wind noise until the car hit about 60 mph. After that speed, the BlueAnt S1 was useless with the top down. With the top up the BlueAnt S1 worked flawlessly even with the added road and wind noise convertibles generate even with the top up. The wireless range is very good and almost borders on too much, if there is such a thing. I use my iPhone all the time; we don’t even have a home phone line in my house. I found that when the S1 was turned on in my car that the range was so good calls placed or received anywhere in my two story home would be transferred to the S1. I had to turn the S1 off to keep that from happening. I would like to see a method to easily prevent calls form going to the S1 in situations like that. The odds of my remembering to turn the S1 off each time I leave the car are very slim. As the one of the sole issues with the BlueAnt S1, too much wireless range is something that most of us can live with.
