Apple films 3G iPhone Commerical at Apple Store NYC
The Apple 24-hour flagship 5th Avenue store in New York is closed right now to the public. It will open again Friday 9am. According to MacRumors Apple is shooting a commercial for the 3G iPhone in the store.
I have not seen any photos that would prove that the shoot is about the 3G iPhone. Apple is doing a good job to keep the iPhone paparazzi far enough away from the store.

ImportGenius is a U.S. Customs Database search company and it looks like they have a "Genius" in marketing. On a new blog entry on their site they analyzed U.S. Customs data to identify the possible shipments of 3G iPhones from Asia to the United States.
Apparently Apple important millions of units of a product declared as "electric computers" starting in mid-March from Quanta. If it is the 3G iPhone is just a guess, it could also be a new product category - maybe the rumored Apple MID.

T-Mobile Germany brings 3G iPhone in 2009?
The 3G iPhone hype is already pretty red hot and at this time nobody really questions that the 3G iPhone will become available in June/July timeframe. Wouldn't it be very, very disappointing if it does not ship that early? Today I was at a T-Mobile shop in Munich, Germany. When I mentioned the 3G iPhone is coming in June, the sales person said right away no it is coming in early 2009 in Germany.
She further said that Apple would announce the 3G iPhone in June, but it would be available in the United States earliest in Fall and then a couple of months later in Germany, which would be 2009 by then.

The NY Times reports that Apple is supposedly negotiating new extended deals with Music Labels to offer iTunes songs over-the-air (OTA) on the 3G iPhone. The NY Times cites music label executives as sources.
With 3G support downloading songs is technically no problem. Apparently the music labels like to charge more money for a song that is downloaded OTA. The labels try to get Apple to allow different pricing on tracks.
