At that price, the One will run Windows XP home. The One weighs only 2.17 pounds and is designed to be an entry level PC for students or a second system for advanced users.

The One runs an Intel Atom processor, XP Home, 1GB of RAM, 120GB HDD, and a three-cell battery. Users wanting a Linux version can get the same specs with Linpus Linux Lite for $329. A version of the One with a 6-cell battery, 160GB HDD, and Windows XP home is $399. All versions use an 8.9-inch LCD screen. Read more

Base level S461 PCs use an Intel Pentium dual-core E2200 CPU, 2GB DDR2 RAM upgradable to 8GB, 80GB SATA HDD, DVD burner, low-profile expansion slots, Gigabit LAN, and Windows XP or Vista Business. The Aspire One is an ultra-lightweight netbook in the vein of the ASUS Eee. The One starts at a price of $379. The One is designed to allow users to surf the web, check email, IM, make VOIP calls, stream video and listen to music.

The system weighs only 2.17 pounds and measures 9.8 x 6.7 x 1.14 inches. The screen is a 8.9-inch WSVGA LED screen with a resolution of 1024 x 600 and an integrated webcam. The machine has a three cell battery good for three hours and a six cell battery is optional. Using the 6-cell battery and Linpus Linux Lite battery life is up to 7 hours. Prices for the system range from $379 to $499. Read more

The B-series displays range in size from 17 to 24-inch and include several models. All B-series displays have black bezels and a black base. The B-series also uses Acer’s FlxArm technology for height adjustment, tilt and swivel as well as rotation. B-series interface options include VGA and DVI with HDCP support.

The B-series displays have 5ms response times and 2000:1 to 3000:1 dynamic contrast ratios. It seems that other than the FlxArm technology the two series of displays are very similar. The displays are available now at dealers across America. Read more
