Topic:

Dell Teases AGAIN with Adamo XPS Notebook Technology News, Electronics Buy Guide and Gadget Review Back on 9-9-09, Dell took the opportunity to tease us with a shot of the corner of its new Adamo XPS notebook and it looked cool. Then Dell had an event and showed the Adamo XPS in the flesh and it looked good.

Today Dell has again teased us with new shots of the Adamo XPS and I really, really want one. The hinge design on the side of the machine makes a sort of keyboard stand and raises the screen up to more comfortable levels. Read more

Dell Adamo Review

Topic:

Dell Adamo Review Technology News, Electronics Buy Guide and Gadget Review Our review partner Digital Trends got their hands on a new Dell Adamo notebook. The testers did not like the high price, low number of ports, the not user replacable battery reasons to not give this notebook an editors' choice award despite its sexy looks.

Quote from the review: "With a chassis measuring just 0.76 inches at its crest and an innovative unibody design, Apple's MacBook Air broke ground in the high-end, ultra-slim, and super-refined laptop category at the beginning of 2008. Half a year later, HP's Voodoo unit took things a step further via the Envy, a carbon fiber-covered siren of a machine with high-end hardware features-such as a touch pad that switches itself off whenever the user begins typing-and a girth even less than that of Apple's couture machine. And now Dell's Adamo has claimed the coveted "Svelte Belt" for itself. Read more

Dell Adamo Unboxing and Hands-On

Topic:

Dell Adamo Unboxing and Hands-On Technology News, Electronics Buy Guide and Gadget Review Dell officially launched their new premium notebook line Adamo this week. The starting price for a Dell Adamo notebook is $1,999. Sounds high, but that price already includes a 128GB SSD.
Engadget has published an unboxing video of the Dell Adamo and some hands-on.
If you ask me Dell should just switch all their notebooks to the Adamo design language. I like it a lot, but it is not stunning or luxurious. The design would just be great on the average Dell notebook. Read more

Dell Adamo Gets Official

The machine has the 13.4-inch screen we saw at CES 2009 and the sleek aluminum skin.

The machine was touted as a MacBook Air competitor, but the final specs will still give the Air bragging rights when it comes to the thin profile and lightweight. Dell uses a 1.2GHz Core 2 Duo on the Adamo and it uses Intel X4500 graphics. Read more

Dell Adamo Still a Mystery

Topic:

Dell Adamo Still a Mystery Technology News, Electronics Buy Guide and Gadget Review I am no apple fan, but I admit that the svelte form factor of the MacBook Air was very cool. The machine had many tradeoffs for that thin profile though and I wished a Windows PC would hit market with less of the tradeoffs with the same thin form factor.

Rumor has it that Dell has just such a rig in mind and is teasing the machine for a launch at CES 2009. The name is the only really known and verified fact surround Adamo. It was believed to have been confirmed that Adamo would be a MacBook Air competitor. The New York Times' Bits Blog reported that it was confirmed that the Adamo would in fact be an Air competitor.
