ARM, Adobe collaborate on mobile Web browsing
LONDON (Reuters) - Software maker Adobe Systems and chip designer ARM Holdings
will collaborate to bring better Web services to ARM-powered devices including
cellphones from most of the world's biggest handset makers.
U.S.-based Adobe, which makes tools for the Internet's most popular video
software and made possible the rise of sites such as Google's YouTube, will
optimise its Flash Player 10 and Adobe AIR for mobile phones based on ARM
processors.

Adobe Releases Public Beta of Cocomo
Today Adobe introduced a new Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS), codenamed Cocomo, that can let developers easily add real-time social capabilities into Web applications via cloud computing. Using Cocomo and Adobe Flex, developers can include collaboration features like real-time audio/video and chat in their existing applications, or build entirely new ones such as multi-player games or social media applications that run cross-platform using Adobe Flash Player or Adobe AIR.

Full Encryption stops Amazon Web Video Leak: Adobe

SEATTLE (Reuters) - Amazon.com has fixed a glitch in its video streaming service
by adopting Adobe Systems Inc's encryption on all television shows and movies
found on its site, software maker Adobe said on Monday.
Last week, Amazon.com said it fixed a temporary problem that allowed people to
record and copy from the online retailer's video streaming service without
paying.

Adobe Launches Photoshop Elements 7 and Premier Elements 7
Adobe has announced new versions of Photoshop Elements and Premier Elements bringing both applications to version 7. The products can be purchased as standalone items or as a bundle pack. The applications allow for photo and video editing when used together.
Adobe announced a new Photoshop.com service that can be purchased along with the software that provides templates and creative tutorials to help users get the most out of the software. Other features include online backup, access to photos and video anywhere, and interactive options. Read more

Adobe Launches Photoshop Lightroom 2
Adobe announced today that Photoshop Lightroom 2 is now available. The application is a toolbox for photographers that make managing, adjusting, and presenting lots of digital images easier to do. The new version of Lightroom adds support for dual monitors, streamlined search, and non-destructive image enhancement.
Lightroom 2 is the first Adobe application to support 64-bit Mac OS X 10.5 and 64-bit Windows. The application can organize images across multiple hard drives. Images can have keywords associated with them and helps make intelligent suggestions for keywords to make searching easier. Lightroom 2 is available now for $299 or $99 for users upgrading from the original version. Read more

Adobe Systems released today public beta of new versions of Adobe Dreamweaver, Adobe Fireworks and Adobe Soundbooth as free downloads on Adobe labs.
The new versions give a sneak peek at the next release of Adobe Creative Suite.
You only have a short period of time to test the upcoming Adobe releases. Once downloaded and launched, the betas will be active for 48 hours after which time only Creative Suite 3 customers will have an extended ability to use the betas until the next release of Creative Suite becomes available.

Adobe today announced the Open Screen Project, supported by a group of industry leaders, which aims to drive consistent rich Internet experiences across televisions, personal computers, mobile devices, and consumer electronics.
The Open Screen Project is working to enable a consistent runtime environment -- taking advantage of Adobe Flash Player and, in the future, Adobe AIR, that will remove barriers for developers and designers as they publish content and applications across desktops and devices, including phones, mobile Internet devices (MIDs), and set top boxes.

Adobe Air for Linux Alpha released
Adobe announces the availability of the alpha release of Air for Linux.

Adobe Flash on iPhone not possible with current iPhone SDK
Comments made by Adobe's CEO Shantanu Narayen on Wednesday suggested that Adobe would be bringing Flash to the iPhone with the SDK that is currently available.
Now Adobe has clarified that the iPhone SDK is too limited to bring Adobe Flash to the iPhone just now.
It looks like the whole thing is a big misunderstanding.

Microsoft licenses Adobe Flash Lite and Reader LE
Adobe announces that Microsoft licensed Adobe Flash Lite, Adobe’s Flash Player runtime specifically designed for mobile devices and Adobe Reader LE software for viewing Adobe Portable Document Format (PDF) documents including email attachments and web content.
Both Adobe products will be made available to Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) worldwide, who license Windows Mobile software.
