Frequent travelers who take computers with them on flights are probably looking forward to the new laptop bags that allow X-rays to pass through so a laptop doesn't have to be removed to go through security checkpoints.

Aerovation Products now has its Checkpoint Friendly laptop bag available for purchase. The bag has a laptop compartment that peels open to allow for placement on screening belts. No clasps or buckles are used to keep the bag closed when in use and picking it up by the handles closes the bag back up. Read more

Guitar Hero: Aerosmith Now Available

Fans of Guitar Hero and the band Aerosmith can now buy Guitar Hero: Aerosmith in stores across the country. The game only features tracks from Aerosmith’s massive library of hits. Some of the tracks were re-mastered by Aerosmith just for the game.

One of the guest appearances in the game is from Darryl “DMC” McDaniels from rap group Run DMC. Aerosmith and Run DMC teamed up for a remake of “Walk this Way” in the 1980’s, helping to rebuild Aerosmith’s popularity when rap was just starting to take off. Read more

Aerosmith is Set to Launch Guitar Hero: Aerosmith in Times Square Friday

Activision announced that Aerosmith will be on hand to launch the new Guitar Hero: Aerosmith video game this Friday in Times Square in NYC. All members of the band will be on hand for the unveil and fans are invited.

A press conference will be held and after the launch in Times Square the Hard Rock Café will be turned into a Best Buy home theater/video game lounge. In the lounge gamers will be the first to play the new game before it goes on sale on June 29th. Read more

Aerosmith gets its Own Guitar Hero Game

Fans of the guitar Hero franchise will be thrilled to hear that Aerosmith, the iconic rock band, has its very own Guitar Hero game coming. The new title will be called Guitar Hero: Aerosmith and marks the first music-based game to focus on one band.

The game takes players from the bands first gig to the massive stadiums they play today as rock legends. To celebrate the game Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock owners will be able to download Aerosmith’s “Dream On”. The track will be available for free from February 16th-18th on Xbox Live and in the Playstation Store for PS3. Read more

How to Enable Windows Vista Aero After Clean Vista Install

Those of you out there who bought a copy of Windows Vista that offers the Aero interface last night or today will want to watch for something if you plan on doing a clean install (which you should). I was doing a clean install of Vista Business last night and noticed that Vista assumes your GPU really sucks when it first runs the little test to verify if you get to see the Aero goodies even if you have a good graphics card like the ATI X1950 Pro.

The reason for this is that there is no driver installed for the card after a clean install. This isn’t hard to fix, you simply download the drivers and install them and Vista readily recognized my X1950 Pro. The catch is that if you don’t know what you are looking at, which many first time Vista users don’t, you can overlook activating the Aero interface even though your graphics card and system can run the Aero interface. The UP Aerospace SpaceLoft XL can carry 110 pounds into space.

Absolute Zero Aerogel Jacket at i-WEAR Fashion Show

At the i-Wear Fashion Show in Paris, which focuses on the latest developments in intelligent clothing, the Aerogel Jacket will be shown.

"Absolute Zero" is a jacket developed to protect against harsh environmental conditions. It is based on Aerogel, the best insulating material in the world. Aerogel was used to insulate space probes sent to Mars.
It is the only material that can insulate down to minus 50°C and melts at 3000°C. It is also the lightest solid in the world and in its purest form can float on air. Its appearance is similar to dry ice and has been called ‘frozen smoke’. The jacket was designed and developed by Corpo Nove through its research and development lab, Grado Zero Espace, Italy.
