Not too long ago Alienware, best known for some very nice gaming computers, announced their first media center computer called the Hangar18. The rig is designed to be the centerpiece of your home theater.

HD DVR functionality allows you to record your favorite shows and play them back at up to 1080p via HDMI output. You can option the system with up to 2TB of storage space for many hours of stored programs. Looks like the Lapboard is finally the product that Phantom Entertainment formerly Infinium Labs is going to sell for real, after the whole gaming console/network failed.
