New Sharp Aquos D Series LCD HDTVs
Sharp introduced 22 new Aquos LCD TVs in Japan. The Sharp Aquos D Series include 9 new LCD TV models.
The Sharp Aquos D series comes in 42, 37 and 32 inch screen sizes and three colors (Black, White and Red) designed by Toshiyuki Kita.
Features of the new Sharp Aquos D series LCD HDTVs include 15,000:1 contrast ratio, 120Hz, 12 bit gray-scale processing, and 3 HDMI ports.

New Sharp Aquos R LCD HDTVs
Sharp announced overall 22 new LCD TVs in Japan today including six new Sharp Aquos R series HDTVs.
The six new Sharp Aquos R LCD full HD TVs come in 65, 52 and 46 inches and two bezel colors.
Sharp uses the industry highest contrast ratio LCD panel in the Aquos R series. The maximum contrast ratio is 20,000:1. The panel itself has 3,300:1, but Sharp uses special backlight control that achieves up to 20,000:1. In a well lit room the contrast ratio is still 1,500:1 with the Aquos R series.

Sharp Announces New 37-inch, 42-inch and 46-inch Aquos HDTVs
Sharp announced that it was introducing three new Aquos HDTV models in the Japanese home market. The three new LCD TVs will come in 46-inch, 42-inch, and 37-inch sizes. The three sets are intended to be wall mounted and don’t come standard with a table top stand.
Sharp says the Aquos X series sets have the thinnest profile of any Aquos HDTVS with the thinnest part of the set being a mere 3.44 cm. All three of the new Aquos models house the tuner portion in a separate component to allow for thinner profile on the TV. Read more

The Sharp Aquos W61SH features a 2.8 inch New Mobile ASV LCD offering 2,000:1 contrast ratio, QVGA resolution and a NTSC color gamut of 120%.
Other features of the 16.9mm thin Aquos W61SH include a business card scanner function via the camera, Digital TV tuner, stylish LED icon display on the outside, 2MP camera, IrSS and Felica mobile wallet.

With the new Aquos BD-AV1 and BD-AV10 Sharp offers Blu-ray disc recorders without a hard-drive.
The Sharp Aquos BD-AV1 only supports BD-RE Ver.2.1 recording on 1 layer. The Sharp Aquos BD-AV10 supports BD-RE Ver.2.1 1 layer and 2 layer disc recording.
The new Sharp Aquos Blu-ray disc recorders come in colors that match the new Aquos D series HDTVs.

New Sharp Aquos D Series 120Hz HDTVs
Sharp announces nine new HDTV sets in the Sharp Aquos D series.
The Aquos D series is available in 32, 37 and 42 inch and in three canvas colors: red, black and white.
Sharp positions the D series as the second TV in the household. The company still used the latest technology in making these HDTVs. The Sharp D series features 120Hz technology and is of course full HD.

Sharp Announces New AQUOS BD-HP20U Blu-ray Player
Sharp has announced their slim-profile AQUOS Blu-ray player model number BD-HP20U. this is the first Sharp Blu-ray offering in America and the first product here other than LCD TVs to carry the AQUOS name.
The BD player uses HDMI 1.3 digital inputs and plays in 1080p HD. Sharp says all of the components used in the BD player were built by Sharp including the laser, pick-up beam and driver unit. Read more

Sharp Announces New AQUOS HDTV Line
Sharp announced new additions to their AQUOS HD LCDTV series. The new D64U series are full 1080p HDTV’s and use a slim line design providing larger screen sizes with smaller case designs.
The new models in the AQUOS line are 25% slimmer than previous models and about 20% lighter than previous versions. The LC-42D64U set has a 42” screen, but has the same footprint as typical 40” LCD HDTV sets.
Sharp’s proprietary Advanced Super View technology and black TFT panel with multi-pixel technology help to improve the HD image quality. All the sets in have a 10,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio and Enhanced Fine Motion control providing a response time of 4ms with EFM engaged. Read more

16 new Sharp Aquos G Series LCD HDTVs with 120Hz and ultra-slim Design
Sharp announces the Aquos G series and introduces 16 new models.
The new Sharp Aquos G LCD HDTVs feature 120Hz technology and are only 81mm deep. The new Sharp Aquos TVs feature an ASV liquid crystal panel and offers sizes from 26 inch to 52 inch.
The sizes between 52 and 37 inch feature full HD resolution (1920x1080) and the 32 and 26 inch models come with a resolution of 1366x768.

The largest of the new Sharp Aquos R-Series is the 65 inch LC-65RX1W. The brightness is 450cd/m2 and the FOV is 176 degrees.

Sharp announces two 1-bit theater rack system under AQUOS audio dubbed AN-ACR1 and AN-ACS1 with in impressive look.
The piano black home theater systems fit to the 65 (LC-65RX1W) and 52 inch (LC-52RX1W) Sharp Aquos HDTVs. The AN-ACR1 and AN-ACS1 have HDMI audio input and 150W power.
If Sharp would have integrated a full surround sound system in the rack it would have been even more impressive.

Sharp Aquos DV-ACW60 1TB HD Recorder
I feel so small with my 80GB digital video recorder. Terra Byte HD recorder are set to become the standard size in Japan. Sharp has just released the Aquos DV-ACW60 HD digital recorder with a 1TB HDD.
The Sharp DV-ACW60 has a Terrestrial BS 110 degree CS digital tuner supporting recording of 2 shows at the same time. Sharp also claims the fastest startup time with 0.8 seconds for the DV-ACW60.
Another new feature in a digital recorder is a high-speed IrDA interface. You can upload photos from a mobile phone to the recorder via infra-red to store it or view it on your TV.

Sharp introduces six new Aquos LCD panel HDTVs in Japan.
The new LCD based flat screen high definition television sets feature improved performance with 2000:1 contrast ratio, 4ms response time and 176 degree viewing angle. Of course the new Sharp HDTVs feature full HD resolution (1920x1080px).
The largest model is the 52 inch LC-52GX1W (or LC-52GX2W side speakers).
