Honda ASIMO Robot to conduct the Detroit Symphony Orchestra
Honda has a new job for its humanoid robot Asimo. He will conduct the Detroit Symphony Orchestra (DSO).
ASIMO will be conducting the orchestra as it performs "Impossible Dream" to open a special concert performance with renowned cellist Yo-Yo Ma at 8 p.m, Tuesday, May 13.
ASIMO clearly advances in his music ambitions. A couple years ago he did the Hula dance and now he conducts a classical orchestra - way to go robot!

RUN! ASIMO! RUN!
Honda announced today they have their new ASIMO robot that can run 4MPH in a permanent installation on a Disneyland stage. Naturally the host of the robot show is the Honda ASIMO theater inside the Innoventions attraction.
The show is called the “Say ‘Hello’ to Honda’s ASIMO” show and shows off ASIMO’s latest technological improvements including several new mobility and AI capabilities that enhance human interaction. Read more

See New Honda ASIMO Robot Run
Honda introduced an updated ASIMO humanoid robot. The new ASIMO can run 6km/h fast.
Honda published several videos online to watch ASIMO run, turn on the spot, pushing a cart or carrying a tray. The videos are fun to watch. A running ASIMO is actually even more fun as seeing ASIMO doing the Hula.
Besides running the new Honda ASIMO can act in sync with people, carry objects, automatically perform the tasks of a receptionist or information guide, carry out delivery services.

Nextfest 2004 Report - Asimo doing the Hula and more fun Future Technology
I just came back from Wired Nextfest 2004 in San Francisco. I have to congratulate Wired to this very interesting and entertaining event show-casing the Future of Technology.
The Honda Asimo show on the main stage is very cute and definitely worth seeing the little 4 foot robot showing off his walk and his dance moves. Watch Asimo doing the Hawaiian Hula Dance in this - Have a look, or better if you are in San Francisco this weekend go and visit the Nextfest in the Fort Mason Center.
