New Palm Pre Hands On Review says Pre has Plasticky Aura

The Palm Pre is going to launch on June 6th. Pretty much all aspects of the highly anticipated new smartphone have been published in videos and documents. Boy Genius Report posted today that they have a Palm Pre already in there hands. They made some comments about their first impressions before they will find time to publish a full Palm Pre review.
The published photos of the Pre already showing a device that is not that sexy. BGR adds that there is a real "plasticky aura" about the Pre. Read more

Motorola Aura Hands-on Photos

Motorola unveiled the Aura luxury phone with the signature round LCD screen about 10 days ago. Motorola's mobile phone unit is actually restructuring right now and a lot of phone designs get cut. The fact that the Aura still made it into the open is a bit surprising.

Two BlackBerry phones are currently getting a lot of interest in the U.S. The BlackBerry Bold will launch on AT&T on October 27th and the touchscreen Storm is rumored to launch mid-November.
For Bond fans the Sony VAIO TT Bond edition shipped this week. The VAIO TT is also a hot sub-notebook without the Bond.
Motorola surprised this week with a $2,000 Luxury phone dubbed Aura sporting a round display. And last but not least the first Google Android phone started to ship this week.

Motorola Aura Luxury Phone has Round Screen

Motorola unveiled a new luxury mobile phone dubbed Motorola Aura featuring one of these new round LCD screens we reported about a while ago.
The Aura comes as a bit of surprise from Motorola, whose claim to fame is still the RAZR and has since not convinced. The $2,000 phone will have to compete against new luxury phones like the Tag Heuer Meridiist.

The Motorola Aura has more than 200 parts that create a seamless opening for the handset. The round display can express 16 million colors and has a 300 dpi resolution. The display is capped with a Grade 1, 62-carat sapphire crystal lens - one of the most scratch-resistant materials on earth. Read more

Sony NW-A1000 and NW-A3000 on Sale as Sony Aura in Canada

As reported yesterday Sony is selling the stylish NW-A1000 and NW-A3000 mp3 players in Europe. I4U Reader Roy C. sent us a tip that Sony is actually already selling the NW-A1000 and NW-A3000 (pre-order) already in Canada. They call the new Sony music player line AURA up there.

The Sony Aura NW-A1000 (6GB) sells for $299.99 Canadian. The Sony Style store takes also pre-orders for the Aura NW-A3000 (20GB) for $349.99 Canadian. Read more
