Hamilton Code Breaker Watch unveiled the BaselWorld 2008
Hamilton introduced the perfect luxury watch for geeks and sci-fi fans at the BaselWorld 2008. The Hamilton Code Breaker has a square case and a cool design with great level of detail.
Hamilton has a long-standing relationship with the science fiction movie genre, dating back to 1968. A desk clock was featured in Stanley Kubrick’s 2001: A Space Odyssey.

The new Dream Watches from BaselWorld 2008
The largest watch trade show on the planet opened its doors officially today in Basel, Switzerland. Our watch news site Wrist Dreams has already covered lots of new timepieces that have been announced at BaselWorld 2008.
Tag Heuer dazzles again with a new concept watch design pushing the limits of mechanical watch technology. At the BaselWorld 2008 Tag Heuer unveiled the Tag Heuer CARRERA Calibre 36 RS Caliper Concept Chrono.

Weekly Top 10: New AMD Phenom X4 and X3, PS3 firmware 2.20, BaselWorld Previews
AMD introduced this week
several new CPUs.Samsung
introduced the Anycall
Haptic touchscreen phone featuring 22 vibrations that raised a lot
of interest this week.
Sony released the new
PS3 2.20 firmware bringing BD-Live to the PS3. The first Blu-ray
movies to support BD-Live are schedule to be released on April 8th. The
6th Day and
Walk Hard will be two of the first Blu-ray titles that feature
BD-Live.

BaselWorld 2008: Zenith Defy Xtreme Zero-G Tourbillon
Our watch news site Wrist Dreams reports that Zenith will exhibit a new over the top wristwatch with the gravity defying Defy Xtreme Zero-G Tourbillon at the BaselWorld 2008.
ZENITH has devised a Zero-G (zero gravity) system. The gyroscope cage Tourbillon comprises an escapement mounted on cardan joints rather like marine chronometers. The instrument, which is sensitive to changes of position, is kept in a constant horizontal position, thereby ensuring optimal amplitude for the spiral balance-wheel.

Seiko E-Ink Watch Photos from BaselWorld 2007
Yesterday our watch news site Wrist Dreams published the Booth Tour of the BaselWorld 2007. Today the first watch photos from the Swiss watch fair are online.
First off are shots from the new Seiko Electronic Ink Watch for women from Seiko, which is on display at BaselWorld 2007.
The ink display is encased under a 360-degree continuous sapphire crystal.
The new Seiko E-Ink watch will sell for about $2,000 later this year.

Swiss Glycine has a great new pilot watch with multi-time zone display called AIRMAN 7 Plaza Mayor.
Formula One racing is a favorite sport amongst watchmakers. Jacques Lemans introduced at the BaselWorld the UTC F1.

First BaselWorld Highlight: New Seiko e-ink Bracelet
As reported earlier BaselWorld opened. Seiko delivers the first highlight with a new e-ink watch design.
In December 2005 Seiko showed the Spectrum e-ink watch concept the first time.
The new bracelet style watch using the high contrast e-ink technology is supposed to appeal to women. It has two display modes.

BaselWorld 2007 Opens and the Hunt for Fakes is On
BaselWorld 2007, the largest watch trade-show opens today to the public in Basel, Switzerland.
Like any other trade-show the BaselWorld is a great place for companies to hunt down copycats. We reported in March that Victorinox cleaned out some USB Knife knock-offs at CeBit 2007 for instance.
The most common cases at the BaselWorld are vendors who show watches that are too close in the design to major luxury brand watches.

Tag Heuer Calibre 360 LS Concept Chronograph at BaselWorld 2006
The most important Wristwatch Tradeshow started yesterday in Switzerland - The BaselWorld 2006.
Every year Tag Heuer shows of amazing chronograph concept watches. This year it is the Tag Heuer Calibre 360 LS (Linear Second).
The Monaco Calibre 360 LS features a 1/100th chronograph counter, a 15 minute counter, a 100 minute power reserve indicator and a linear second indicator.
