Black Friday and Thanksgiving Sales 2008 bigger than ever?
In 100 days the Thanksgiving sales will kick of the holiday shopping season 2008 followed by Black Friday. Despite a slow economy the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA) sees overall shipment revenues top $173 billion in the United States in 2008.
To reach this goal retailers will have to try even harder this year to get consumers to spend money on TVs, video game hardware, cameras, GPS devices and so on.

First Black Friday 2008 Ad leaked
It is the middle of Summer, but retailers are already busy preparing the Thanksgiving and Black Friday sales bonanza 2008. The Thanksgiving sales might be even more important this year with the economy not doing too well and you want to make sure you spend your Dollars wisely.
The BFAds site known for their ability to get their hands on leaked print advertisments from the major retailers has already published the first Black Friday Ad of 2008.

Pricegrabber.com Lists 5 Things You didn't Expect from Black Friday
Pricegrabber.com has released a list of its top five things you didn’t expect to see on Black Friday. PriceGrabber estimates the total volume of merchant referrals generated to sellers on Black Friday and said that its referral have increased by 47% this year over last year.
The top five things PriceGrabber didn’t expect to see include that Black Friday shopping started on Thursday this year. This fact has been reported from other merchants as well. It makes me wonder if we will begin seeing more retailers staying open longer hours on Thanksgiving next year. Read more

The Top-selling Products on Black Friday 2007
The first data about Black Friday sales trickles in. Price comparison engine Pricegrabber says that total volume of their merchant referrals generated to sellers on Black Friday has increased 47% over last year with an average order referral of $431.
This would be a good sign as many fear a weak 2007 holiday shopping season.
The top-selling products on Black Friday according to Pricegrabber are the Nintendo Wii, 30GB Brown Zune, TomTom One 3rd Edition GPS, Guitar Hero III, and Canon Powershot SD1000.

Wal-mart Secret In-Store Black Friday Deals
In addition to Wal-mart's Thanksgiving Day deals they are also having additional secret in-store Black Friday deals.
Earlier today the Secret in-store deals page for Saturday revealed a 80GB Sony PS3 that comes bundled with 10 Blu-ray movies. If you add the 5 Blu-ray movies you get from the Blu-ray mafia, you will have started a sizable Blu-ray movie library. There are only two such bundles per Wal-mart store though.
