LHC Black Hole Maker out of Order for One Year
In September 2008 the CERN Large Hadron Collider (LHC) aka Black Hole Maker died 10 days after turning it on. Now CERN says the LHC is going to see the restart earliest September of 2009.
The first collisions will be then in late October. All LHC apocalypse believers can enjoy still this summer before the LHC will produce a black hole that sucks in the earth in Fall.

Black Hole Maker LHC is Out of Order for Months
The CERN Large Hadron Collider (LHC) aka Black Hole Maker started out so well, that the scientists could actually not believe it. Now about 10 days into operation the LHC is 'kaputt' for at least 2 months.
On Friday several of the super-cooled magnets started to heat up and liquid helium leaked.

Black Hole Maker about to start, hold on to your Coffee Cup
As reported the CERN is trying to switch on the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) today and tries to begin circulating the first beams in the 27km long machine.
British newspapers are apparently already catering to the fears of some that the world ends in a tiny Black Hole generated by the LHC.

CERN Black Hole Maker LHC starts circulating Tomorrow
For some tomorrow is the end of the world as we know it as CERN is switching on the LHC and starts creating tiny black holes.
The Large Hadron Collider (LHC) has been built in a circular tunnel 27km in circumference. The tunnel is buried around 50 to 175m underground. It straddles the Swiss and French borders on the outskirts of Geneva as reported back in 2005.
CERN is now circulating the first beams on September 10, 2008. The first collisions at high energy are still expected to be a month later with the first results from the experiments soon after.

Black Hole Phone Bag
This cell phone bag makes your phone disappear from the network.
When you don't want to receive phone calls or be triangulated by Jack Bauer, just put your phone in this phone bag.
The case has two slots, one of which shields your phone. If you carry your cell phone in the other slot you still can receive calls.

CERN's Black Hole Maker LHC on Track
I saw a report on TV about the CERN LHC (Large Hadron Collider) that should be finished in 2007, and its just crazy how huge this thing is.
The LHC just got its first magnet. 5,000 will be placed around the 27km long particle accelerator. The magnets are superconducting.
In the report I saw the hopes are that the LHC will help understand dark matter by producing mini black holes.
More details on BBC News and on CERN's site.
