Earthrace Eco Boat to Challenge Round the World Speed Record
The extreme Earthrace speed boat is attempting to break the around the world speed record starting on March 1st 2008 in Spain.
Earthrace is the fastest eco boat on the planet powered by Biodiesel.
Pete Bethune, NZ skipper of Earthrace made the announcement yesterday in Britain. The current around the world speed record by boat is 75 days, held by British boat Cable and Wireless Adventurer in 1998.

Porsche Designs a Really Fast Boat
Porsche isn't content to simply design some of the fastest cars on the road, they are now looking to sell really fast water vehicles too with a new line of boats. Then at a starting price of $300,000 they are more appropriately called yachts.
The boat is called the Fearless Yacht and is a 28 foot long ship powered by a 525-horsepower Viper engine and it is capable of speeds of up to 88 mph. Porsche also has plans to build models of up to 150 feet long. Read more

Dolphin Boat/Sub Can Jump Out of Water and Dive
This is one wild and expensive water toy. This boat can hold two people and is able to dive up to two feet under water for up to 20 seconds at a time. When the craft surfaces it can jump up to 10 feet in the air and perform tricks.
When the craft is in the air you can perform barrel rolls and the like. The current model is called the Seabreacher and is 14 foot 10 inches long and weighs in at 1000 pounds. Power for the craft comes from a 175 HP Atkins marine rotary engine and you can get an optional 240 HP super charged engine that weighs in at 300 pounds. Read more
