Sony Bravia ZX5 LED LCD HDTV KDL-52ZX5 and KDL-46ZX5 Unveiled
Sony unveiled the BRAVIA ZX5 series with the models KDL-52ZX5 and KDL-46ZX5 in Japan.
The Sony BRAVIA ZX5 are LED backlit HDTVs with integrated wireless HD connectivity.
The Sony BRAVIA KDL-52ZX5 (52-inch) and KDL-46ZX5 (46-inch) are only 16.6mm and 15.8mm respectively thin.
Other features of the Sony BRAVIA ZX5 include 240Hz technology, VOD (Video On Demand) with acTVila, FeliCa port, LAN, DLNA, 4 HDMI ports, and USB.

Sony Bravia W-series connected TVs featuring BRAVIA Widgets
Today Sony announced new connected HDTVs in their Bravia W-Series.
The networked models feature an Ethernet connection so the sets can directly access Sony BRAVIA Internet Video content using an existing broadband connection. BRAVIA Internet Widgets, provided by the Yahoo! Widget Engine, expand and personalize the experience by allowing you to interact with your favorite Internet content like Yahoo News, Video, Finance, and Flickr while watching TV shows.
Track your favorite sports team, check your stocks and share photos with friends and family as you watch television.

Sony Bravia W5 and F5 240Hz Motion Flow HDTVs unveiled
Sony unveiled the Bravia W5 and Bravia F5 LCD HDTV sets with 240Hz Motion Flow in Japan.
Motion Flow 240Hz gives you even smoother and sharper fast moving footage as mostly found in sports events. Of course 240Hz Motion Flow is also great for watching fast paced action movies.
The Sony Bravia W5 series consists of the KDL-52W5 (52 inch), KDL-46W5 (46 inch) and KDL-40W5 (40 inch).
The Sony Bravia F5 series features the KDL-46F5 (46 inch), KDL-40F5 (40 inch) and the KDL-32F5 (32 inch).

Sony Bravia-Drome dramatically demonstrates Motionflow 240Hz
Sony built the BRAVIA-drome, the centerpiece for Sony’s latest marketing campaign, to provide customers with a visual demonstration of Sony’s Motionflow technology.
The Sony BRAVIA-drome was inspired by the zoetrope, a device invented in the 19th century to create short ‘films’ from a series of static images. This modern day zoetrope is 10 meters across, spins at over 40 kph and is the optimal medium for demonstrating how Motionflow 240Hz technology clearly displays today’s fast-action motion pictures.

Sony adds Slacker Radio Service to Bravia Internet Video Link
Sony today introduced Slacker Personal Radio and Howcast Media as the latest Sony BRAVIA Internet Video Link content providers. This is an interesting win for the Slacker, which provides the streaming service also on their own portable devices - the Slacker Personal Radio Player G2.
Slacker Personal Radio delivers millions of licensed songs and more than 100 individually programmed genre music stations, while Howcast offers up a selection of its engaging how-to videos. Both channels offer content at no additional charge to BRAVIA Internet Video Link users.

Hancock streams early to Sony Bravia TVs
Sony today announced that for a limited period, BRAVIA Internet Video Link owners will have the opportunity to watch the Sony Pictures summer hit, Hancock, prior to retail DVD and Blu-ray Disc availability.
The movie Hancock, which can be rented for $9.99, will stream directly to BRAVIA televisions equipped with Sony’s BRAVIA Internet Video Link for a 24-hour viewing period.
This offer will be available to BRAVIA Internet Video Link owners beginning on October 28th and running through November 10th.

Sony Adds On-Demand Movies and TV to BRAVIA Internet Video Link
Sony announced today that it and Amazon.com have teamed up to add on-demand movies and TV to the BRAVIA Internet Video Link device. The new service offers access to thousands of premium movies and TV shows.
The Amazon Video on Demand series offers immediate access to content directly on the BRAVIA TV screen. In addition to access to Amazon VOD, Sony also announced streaming HD programs from Dailymotion are now available at no extra cost. Read more

Sony Unveils 240Hz Bravia LCD TV
Sony has announced its latest Bravia LCD TV called the KDL-52XBR7 with a refresh rate of 240Hz. Sony also announced a Bravia KLV-40ZX1M LCD that is only 9.9mm thick. The 240Hz 52-inch LCD uses Sony's Media Flow technology.
Other features for the 52-inch 240Hz TV include a dynamic contrast ratio of 80000:1 and Bravia Engine 2 that enhances all incoming signals to 1080p resolution. The set is also compatible with Sony Bravia Internet video link for watching Internet videos on the TV directly from the Internet. The super thin 40-inch KLV-40ZX1M is about the thickness of a DVD case and weighs 26 pounds. It uses a 120Hz refresh rate. Both TVs will ship in December at undisclosed prices. Read more

Youtube now on Sony BRAVIA Internet Video Link Service
Sony announced today that YouTube is the latest online video provider to join the company’s BRAVIA Internet Video Link service. The service went live today providing BRAVIA Internet Video Link users access to millions of videos on YouTube at no additional charge.
The BRAVIA Internet Video Link is a small module that attaches to the back of a selection of the company’s 2007 and 2008 BRAVIA LCD flat-panel television models.
The service seamlessly streams on-demand entertainment including movies, TV programs, your favorite YouTube videos and a variety of other free content as well as news, weather and traffic information via an existing Ethernet connection without the use of a personal computer.

Sony introduced the HT-IS100 BRAVIA Theater Micro System in the States.
The HT-IS100 features 5 small speakers roughly the size of a golf ball or strawberry as you can see in the photo.

In August we reported about the making of the new Sony Bravia commerical featuring Play-Doh bunnies. Now the new commercial is ready and you can see it on the Bravia Color Like No Other site.
The new Bravia commercial used an amazing 2.5 tons of plasticine. I guess most of it went into the giant red rabbit.

Sony announces 15 new BRAVIA LCD HDTV sets in Japan including the 70 inch KDL-70X7000.
The new Sony BRAVIA LCD TVs are all full HD and feature a new 2.4Ghz radio frequency based remote control technology.
The sizes available in the new Bravia lines include sets with 40 inch to 70 inch. The top of the line 70 inch KDL-70X7000 features a brightness of 550cd/m2 and a contrast ratio of 1,500:1.
