Best CPU Cooler is OCZ Vendetta 2 according to Comparison

Benchmark Reviews published a comparison of several CPU Cooler products and identified the OCZ Vendetta 2. I just installed this week the Scythe Ninja Plus Rev. B and I'm totally happy with it. My system runs much more silent now than before with the Intel packaged CPU cooler.

AMD Phenom 9850 X4 Black Edition CPU Review

Motherboards published a review of the new AMD Phenom 9850 X4 Black Edition CPU. AMD introduces the 9850 X4 CPU last week.

Quote from the review: "One thing AMD is stressing is the upgradeability of their older motherboards to support their new Quad Core CPUs. AMD sent a list of compatible motherboards that are on AMD’s Recommended List and it includes older motherboards including the nForce 570 chipset M2N-32-SLI and the AMD 690 boards that were prevalent a couple of years ago. Newer boards like the AMD 790FX and NVIDIA GeForce 7050 and presumably the upcoming 780a are being tested and qualified but few if any are on the list at the moment. The other consideration is for the home builder wanting to build an inexpensive motherboard+CPU combo. The 9850 is retailing for $235, add a 780G motherboard from AMD or an equivalent NVIDIA integrated board like the 8300 and you'd have a system that'd be hard to match on the Intel side dollar for dollar, especially with the state of Intel’s graphics drivers not even supporting DX10 as of yet. This time the Inquirer got the fuel for the Intel rumor from a Intel slide showed during CeBIT.

AMD Demos 45nm Native Quad-Core CPUs at CeBIT

Intel announces new Xeon 5400 and Xeon 5200 CPUs

Toshiba Adds 45nm Intel Penryn CPUs to X205 SLI Notebook

Toshiba announced today that it has added the Intel 45nm processors to its Satellite X205-SLI notebook computer. The X205 still uses a pair of NVIDIA 8600M GT graphics cards in SLI and has optional dual hard drives.

The hard drives are full 7200 rpm units for faster access time. The notebook also incorporates Toshiba’s HD DVD drive for watching HD movies. Buyers can also get five free HD DVD films with the purchase of the X205-SLI notebook. Read more
