Belkin Cable-Free USB Hub Set to Ship Soon

Topic:

Belkin Cable-Free USB Hub Set to Ship Soon Technology News, Electronics Buy Guide and Gadget Review There are few things I have been waiting for more than the arrival of the wireless USB hubs and Belkin is now set to roll theirs out. The new Belkin Cable-Free USB hub allows you to connect a USB dongle that look similar to a flash drive to your PC and a four-port hub to your peripherals for wireless connectivity.

Once the wireless USB hub is connected, you can then place your printer or other USB device anywhere in your room and connect just as it was plugged into your PC. The wireless range is up to 30 feet from the hub and still allows you 480 Mbps data transfer speeds on USB 2.0. Read more

No HDMI Cable Bundled with Sony PS3 60GB

Topic:

No HDMI Cable Bundled with Sony PS3 60GB Technology News, Electronics Buy Guide and Gadget Review A couple days ago the specification page on the Sony PS3 site (via PS3Land) revealed that the HDMI enabled 60GB Sony PS3 will not come with an HDMI cable. There is lots of criticsm about this circulating in the community.

In my case I already have an HDMI cable installed. It is 15m long. For anybody who has a HD ready projector the HDMI cable that Sony would have bundled would be anyway to short and useless.
Sure you could say you anyway pay a premium price for the new Playstation, why is Sony not throwing in a HDMI cable? Read more

People Without Cable/Satellite TV May Need To Apply For Conversion Coupons Technology News, Electronics Buy Guide and Gadget Review There's a bill that was passed a little while back that will require all TV stations to air digital broadcasts exclusively by 2010, formally retiring the "bunny ears" era of TV reception. Apple iPod shuffle Case with Cable Organizer

Topic:

Apple iPod shuffle Case with Cable Organizer Technology News, Electronics Buy Guide and Gadget Review Japanese Rakuten offers the MAKROLON Apple iPod shuffle plastic case with integrated cable organizer to deal with the headset cable.

This just shows me that we really need to get to wireless ear buds soon. The headset cables either destroy the look of tiny wearable mp3 players or they just always have a knot in them when taking them out of the pocket.
Bluetooth audio headsets are either still too big or the sound quality is not there yet. Until then cable organizers seem to be the only way to deal with the damn cables.

Coolest Cable For you modded PC

Topic:

Coolest Cable For you modded PC Technology News, Electronics Buy Guide and Gadget Review HWGuru.com has a short review for you about a cool cable. The Akasa Neon Rounded Cable is something different that's for sure. Something for the casemodder who has everything perhaps? Well, here's a snippet:

"I wanted to like this cable, its great and it offers something that you don't see from many other manufacturers, they are one of the few companies importing this kind of stuff to the UK, but the problem comes with the price difference between this and the standard Akasa rounded cable. The standard ones are great, I use a full set of the silver ones myself, and at only 6.99 offer great value for money. The luminous cable however costs an extra £8 at 14.99. And that price premium can't be justified for something that offers such limited benefits over the standard cable. "
