JVC Introduces Everio Camcorder for YouTube and More
JVC added a new camcorder to its Everio S Series today called the GZ-MS100. The camcorder is designed to make the recording and uploading of videos to YouTube very simple. JVC says that despite the YouTube focus for the camcorder it offers a full fledged array of camcorder features.
The camera records to a SD card and weighs only 0.60 pounds. The camera includes CyberLink software for Windows computers and allows for uploading of video clips with one touch. The camera also has a one-touch button that limits recordings to 10 minutes perfectly sizing video clips for YouTube file size limitations. Read more

Samsung HMX20 full HD Camcorder
Samsung introduces new full HD Camcorder in Korea. The HMX20 line (VM-HMX20C, SC-HMX20C) features 10x zoom and a 6.4MP sensor. Samsung already announced the HMX20 (SC-HMX20C) in January in the U.S. and it actually should start shipping this month.
Samsung highlights that the HMX20 camcorders also make great still photos with features found in other high-end photo cameras.

Canon Launches XL H1S and XL H1A HD Camcorders
Canon launched a pair of new shoulder mount camcorders aimed at video pros this week called the XL H1S and XL H1A. Both are HD camcorders that provide advanced control and feature 20x HD Video lenses and more.
Both use the Canon XL interchangeable lens system, three 1/3-inch, 1.67 MP CCD image sensors and DIGIC DVII HD image processing. The cameras also feature a six-pin IEEE 1394 terminal for high-speed connection to external hardware. Read more

AgfaPhoto Announces the DV-5000Z HD Camcorder
AgfaPhoto announced its latest camcorder this week called the DV-5000Z. The tiny camcorder measures only 4.7-inches x 2.75-inches in size and weighs only 200g. The camera will retail for 249 Euro including VAT.
Videos shot with the camera are in 16:9 format and recorded at 1280x720 pixels. The recording format for video is MPEG-4 and H.264 compression. The camera can record up to 4 hours and 20 minutes on one 8GB SDHC memory card. Read more

Samsung SC-HMX20C Flash Based 1080p Camcorder
Samsung announced its latest camcorder today called the SC-HMX20C that records in full 1080p resolution. The camcorder records the full HD video at 30 fps and stores the video to flash memory. A docking station is included to charge and allow easy viewing of video on a TV.

JVC's New MiniDV Camcorders- GR-D870 and GR-D850
JVC announced a pair of new MiniDV camcorders today called the GR-D870 and the GR-D850. These two camcorders both feature 35x optical zoom lenses and 2.7-inch LCD displays along with automatic backlight control.
The D870 has dual recording with Live Slow feature. This feature allows users to shoot still images and video at the same time. The Live Slow feature allows for slow motion video with audio commentary at the same time. Read more

JVC HD Everio GZ-HD6 and GZ-HD5 Camcorders
Today JVC unveiled a pair of new HD Everio HDD camcorders that record in full 1080p HD format. The GZ-HD6 and GZ-HD5 are 45% smaller than previous JVC HD camcorders like the GZ-HD7 without giving up quality.

Corel Software Chosen by Canon for HD Camcorders
Corel announced today that its Corel Software Suite has been chosen by Canon to ship with the Canon consumer HG10 and HR10 AVCHD camcorders. The software suite includes Ulead DVD MovieFactory and Corel WinDVD.
The software gives fast access to the most popular functions in a unique GuideMenu for editing and making videos. The software will allow users of the Canon camcorders to edit video and then write it back to the camcorder or to a DVD. Read more
