Cisco owned Pure Digital will launch a Wi-Fi enabled Flip camcorder in 2010.
They should have actually done that this holiday season to kill off the Apple competition early. Now we will see Flip Wifi camcorders and Camera iPod touch devices appear most likely at the same time.

The Predator VX360: Waterproof, Wearable Camcorder
Are you into extreme sports, like water-skiing or dolphin-taunting or snorkeling in shark-infested water with open wounds? If so, have you ever wanted a wearable camera to take with you on your exploits in order to capture them for posterity? In short, the VX360 is a waterproof wearable video camera. It can stand being submerged up to three meters in water, and the manufacturer's claim it is tough enough to survive smacking into rocks. New Canon 64GB Camcorder Vixia HF S11 and Canon G11 Touchscreen Camera
Today Canon announced the launch of two new high-end products. The Vixia HF S11 Dual Flash Memory camcorder contains 64 GB of flash memory, which gives you up to 24 hours of actual high-def recording time. It also has SDHC support, so you can also record data directly to removable drives. This new Vixia also comes with an 8 megapixel camera, and features face detection and instant auto-focus.
The HF S11 is definitely one of the sweeter camcorders out on the market. The ability to record a full day on the internal drive is incredibly nice, and should prove convenient for serious travellers and amateur filmmakers alike. Be forewarned though; at $1,499, this is definitely not a low-cost recording option.

Retrevo Pulse Says Camcorder Sales Grew
Retrevo Pulse is a market research firm that follows sales trends for consumer electronics and other gadgets. According to the latest index from the firm camcorders sold in significant numbers during June even though most digital cameras are capable of taking nice photos today.
Camcorder demand grew 20% over a three-month period starting in April. The index also showed that MP3 player sales were down by 30% since the end of February and that TVs have stayed flat since dropping 25$ over the last 120 days. Read more

Panasonic Unveils World's Lightest Camcorder
Panasonic has unveiled what it is calling the world's lightest camcorders weighing in at 0.5 pounds. Two camcorders were unveiled with the HDC-SD10 storing video to SDHC/SD card and the HDC-TM10 storing video to SDHC/SD cards and 8GB of internal storage.
Both cameras feature 16x optical zoom with Advanced Optical Image Stabilization. The OIS featured in the camera also features an active mode that works to prevent shake while walking. The LCD screen on the cameras is also touch sensitive. Read more

DigiLife Pocket HD Camcorder/Projector Coming
In the midst of E3, info on a badass piece of gear bound for Computex just slid across my desk. Normally this could wait, but the DigiLife DDV-JF1 pocket camcorder is just too cool to not talk about. It's an iPod sized camcorder that shoots and displays 720p video. That alone would qualify DigiLife's new gizmo as a pretty cool piece of gear.

We already reported about rumors and some evidence that the new iPhone 2009 will have video recording capabilities. BusinessWeek reports now that the new iPhone 2009 is supposed to be actually a video making power house.
Apparently the new iPhone would be a one-stop studio for recording, editing, viewing and sharing your own videos pretty much similar to the hyper successful Flip Camcorder line.

Flip HD Ultra Camcorder Unboxed
Late last year Flip debuted its first HD camcorder called the Flip HD. The device had 60 minutes of record time and stored HD video at 720p resolution. Power for the camera came from an internal rechargeable battery, which could be bad if you were not near an outlet to recharge.
Flip has a new version of the camera called the Flip HD Ultra that has been unboxed over at GAX Online. The Ultra doubles the storage space compared to the original with two hours of record time, the battery is now removable, and you can put AA's inside in a pinch. Read more
