Sony released an update to the PS3 racing game Gran Turismo 5 Prologue peppered with 3 new cars.
Besides the three new cars, Sony added a number of gameplay and performance enhancements to T5 Prologue.
One of the new cars is a mean looking Citroen. The GT by Citroen concept car is the result of a collaboration between French automaker Citroen and Polyphony Digital. Read more

SanDisk Announces 16GB microSD and M2 Cards

SanDisk announced what it claims to be the world's largest capacity microSD and M2 cards today with 16GB of storage each. The card will be available from Verizon Wireless stores and Best Buy Mobile stores.

The 16GB microSDHC card retails for $99.99 and the 16GB M2 card retails for $129.99. Both cards will be available in November and Best Buy and Verizon are the only two stores that will carry the card in 2008. Read more

Aptus Mini-Motion Game Cars of Fury Launches

We have talked about the Aptus Mini-Motion games before with the controllers that look like different things from cars to sports equipment. The company announced today that its first Mini-Motion title called Cars of Fury would be available in Q4.

Pretec 64GB and 100GB CF Cards

Pretec has announced two new high capacity CF cards it claims to be the highest capacity cards in the world. The cards have 64GB of storage and 100GB of storage. Despite the high capacity, both CF cards are still fast at 233x speed.

The cards use a metal housing and ruggedized construction making them ten times more durable than the typical CF card. Pretec also introduced high-speed 333x 32GB and 50GB CF cards. The 233x 64GB card will retail for $399 and the 333x 32GB card will retail for $630. Read more

Chevy Volt Production Car unveiled, Concept was way hotter

GM unveiled yesterday the production model of the all electric Chevrolet Volt. What have they done to the cool Volt Concept the company introduced in 2007? The production Chevy Volt lost all coolness the Concept Volt had.
GM says the design of the Volt has been "evolved". Biggest reason for the redesign was the bad aerodynamics of the Volt concept car. Still, I am disappointed at the design. The only part of the Volt that still looks somewhat good is the back. We are looking here at a car that goes in production in late 2010. This is still two years in the future. In two years the Chevy Volt will look old already.

SD Card Association Introduces Embedded SD

One of the most common forms of storage for many consumer electronics devices like cameras and camcorders is the SD card. The association that promotes the SD standard is called the SD Card Association. Today it announced a new Embedded SD standard for internal memory that will launch in November.

The specification promises double the device storage capacity and easier platform design. Embedded SD will separate flash management from the host and provide the ability to add up to 32GB of onboard memory along with up to 32GB of removable memory with an external SD card. Read more

SanDisk Extreme III 32Gb CF Card Launches

Today SanDisk announced its latest large capacity, high-performance CompactFlash memory card for DSLR cameras and video cameras. The new Extreme III CF card has 32GB of storage space and promises a write speed of 30MB/s.

So the studio plans to re-release its blockbuster Batman sequel in January, the height of Academy Awards voting season.

Sony Adds iPod Compatible Car Stereos

Sony announced four new car stereos for its Xplod line that connect directly to iPods. The stereos can also charge the iPod or iPhone while on the road. The first Sony car stereo to get this capability is the CDX-GT630UI.

In addition to connecting to the iPod, it also offers USB connectivity and the ability to connect to other MP3 players. Other features include Sony's Zappin function for searching for music. Zapping is like a seek button, but it plays clips from your own music library. Read more
