First mass U.S. crossing for Hydrogen Cars completed
By Bernie Woodall
LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - Hydrogen fuel cell cars from nine automakers completed a
13-day cross-country trip this weekend, in the first such mass U.S. crossing for
vehicles powered by a zero-emission technology still in its infancy.
As firsts go, the event, which ran from Portland, Maine, to the Los Angeles
Coliseum, probably would not qualify for the record books. There were stretches
without hydrogen fueling stations when the vehicles were carried on flatbed
trucks, the longest from Rolla, Missouri, to Albuquerque, New Mexico.

AMD is slated to release the ATI All In Wonder HD video card reports Hothardware.
Quote: "When ATI was acquired by AMD a few years ago, one product that seemed to fall off of the new corporate radar was ATI's All-In-Wonder line of Graphics/TV-Tuner hybrid cards. This was an area of the market where ATI had exclusivity, yet we haven't seen a new All-In-Wonder offering since May 2006.

Cardboard Table is Perfect for Mobile Use
When I was a kid, my cousins and I played our fair share of Dungeons & Dragons. We tended to find isolated places to play because we didn't want mom looking on as we hacked our way through ogres and other such nonsensical creatures. Then there was the real reason -- we didn't want any of the cute girls in the neighborhood to know we actually played the game.
The problem was my cousin was very attached to his Dungeons & Dragons rulebook and was known to scream like a little girl if we placed it on the ground. What we needed was something like The Cutting Table No. 1 from Birkiland. The table is made from corrugated cardboard and all the various parts store inside the tabletop when not in use. Read more

Kingston Adds Super High Capacity 32 GB SDHC Memory Card
It wasn't so long ago the 2 GB SD card was considered to be really large. Then we moved to 4 GB, then 8 GB, and finally 16 GB capacities. With many of today's digital HD camcorders being able to record to SDHC cards, even 16 GB wasn't enough capacity for some users.
To meet the demand for even more capacity Kingston Technology has announced a new 32 GB Elite Pro SDHC memory card. Kingston says that the new 32 GB card can capture more than 6000 full resolution 10 megapixel images or over eight hours of HD video at 6 Mbps. The card is rated as a speed class 4, guaranteeing 4 MB per second minimum data transfer rate. All that storage capacity doesn't come cheap though, the suggested retail price for the 32 GB memory card is $308. Read more

i-Smartphone Circuit Card promises to unlock iPhone 3G
Hong Kong based Gadget shop Brando just informed us that they now sell a small circuit card that supposedly unlocks the iPhone 3G and many other phones on the SIM card level.
The i-Smartphone 2008 sells for only $20.50. The thin-film card is put together with the SIM card you want to use the iPhone 3G on in the slot.
This sounds way too simple and low-cost that it is hard to believe that this would really unlock the iPhone 3G.

JPR Reports Q2 2008 Graphics Card Market
According to Jon Peddie Research, the overall GPU market dropped 0.5% from Q1 2008. While a drop may sound like a bad thing JPR says that Q2 is generally down for the computer industry with summer vacations and back to school.
The 0.5% drop from Q1 2008 to Q2 2008 is the smallest drop since 2001. JPR says that shipments for the quarter were 94.4 million units -- an increase of 16% over the same quarter in 2007. Intel held the top spot for overall graphics market with 47.3% market share. NVIDIA has 31.4% of the market and AMD held 18.1% of the market. Read more
