the bell, and last week, when Josh Groban's "Noel" became the first since then
to do so.

Nintendo Possibly Releasing New Gameboy By Christmas
Game analyst PJ McNealy has made it known that he believes that Nintendo will more than likely release an update to the Gameboy product line by the end of 2005. His reasoning is that Nintendo's trend is to release a new Gameboy about every two years, and the GBA is due for an update. While the DS was just released during the fourth quarter of 2004, Nintendo continues to maintain that the DS and Gameboy product lines are totally unrelated.

Honda Minimoto Maxii Tops Kids Christmas Wish-List
Yahoo's Yahooligans Web site conducted a survey amongst 185,000 US kids and the Honda Minimoto Maxii Bike is the most wanted Christmas gift.
We reported about Honda's Minimoto bike first time in February. The Honda Minimoto Maxii features 13 inch Phneumatic tires and a top speed of 18 mph (I4U reader Christine reports the Minimoto goes even faster than this). The Mini bike is powered by a included 36 volt battery. This bike is of course not street legal and for kids, in contrast to those Mini Choppers we reported about.
The Honda Minimoto Maxii sells for $239.99 on Amazon.com. The Honda MiniMoto Maxii is also available at Wal-Mart.
The 2nd most wished christmas gift is the Video Now Color Video Player - currently on sale at Walmart for $54.77.

UGG Boots are Top Christmas Seller
Ok this is funny. I just got up and read Yahoo News and there is a story about Jeff Bezos (CEO of Amazon.com) talking about a record holiday season coming up. The bestselling products are MP3 players, digital cameras and Ugg brand boots by Deckers Outdoor Corp. UGG boots? Mp3 players ok, Digital cameras ok, but UGG Boots?
So what are UGG boots?
I asked my fashion addicted wife and she said "oh those are so yesterday". Last year Hollywood stars ran around with those in LA in the summer - crazy people. Now it looks like everybody wants to have the sheep skin UGG boots.
UGG boots are no gadget, but they keep feet warm. That makes them apparently the third most popular Holiday item after MP3 Players and Digital Cameras.
If you are into UGG boots, UGG also sells direct from UGGAustralia.com.

Story

Nestled in a Reuters story about Nintendo's financials (yawn) we found this little gem:
"In order to have the DS out by Christmas, we plan to start production late summer or early fall and boost production every month," Nintendo Senior Managing Director Yoshihiro Mori told a news conference.
"The shipment forecast for the DS, due out later this year in Japan and the United States, is more optimistic than Sony Corp's target to ship three million units of its PlayStation Portable (PSP), a new handheld due out later this year in Japan."
Nintendo intends to have the Nintendo DS in stores for us by Christmas? Please say it's true!
