Verizon Wireless: BlackBerry Curve 2 This Holiday Season
Verizon's holiday line-up contains quite a few sweet new smartphones, but it's been hard to focus on anything but the Droid. Motorola's flagship smartphone is so cool that it's started to somewhat overshadow the other sweet phones hitting VZW over the next few weeks. The Droid isn't the only awesome device coming to Verizon, as this leak from Boy Genius illustrates.

BlackBerry Curve 8520 Review
Our review partner Digital Trends tested the BlackBerry Curve 8520 and published a review of this T-Mobile BlackBerry. The BlackBerry Curve 8520 even scored an Editors' Choice Award.
Quote from the review: "You don't often hear "Wal-Mart" and "BlackBerry" in the same sentence. But RIM's new Curve 8520 has been billed as the BlackBerry for the rest of us, available for just $50 at the country's largest, and decidedly mass-market, retailer.

Sprint: HTC Hero in October, Curve 8530 in November.
Some big news for Sprint customers has leaked out today. An anonymous poster on the xda-deveopper forums has produced a piece of paper, presumably a Sprint internal memo, that shows the names and dates of upcoming Sprint smartphones.
The paper first lists the HTC Hero as being set for a October 11 release date, right alongside another Android device called the 'Samsung Q'. I've never heard of the Q before, but Boy Genius seems to think it might be the internal Sprint name for the Galaxy. Also listed on the sheet is the 'BlackBerry Aries', which is described as an 8330 replacement. This has to be the 8530, and it's due out on November 1.

AT&T's BlackBerry Bold and Curve, Down in Price
There are a whole mess of fancy new smartphones hitting the market right now, so many that choosing can be a little bit overwhelming. Do you go for the Palm Pre despite the issues with its carrier? Do you wait a few weeks for the iPhone 2009? Or, do you take the safe decision and go with one of the time-proven BlackBerry Smartphones?
It's a difficult decision to make, but if you're an AT&T customer it just got a little bit easier. They just announced that they are reducing prices on the BlackBerry Curve and Bold 8900 smartphones. The Curve is dropping from $199.99 to $149.99, while the Bold is dropping from $299.99 to $199.99. That's a respectable drop for the Curve, and a huge discount on the BlackBerry Bold.

BlackBerry Curve: $199 From AT&T
We've got good news for AT&T customers. The BlackBerry Curve 8900 is going to be coming to your carrier even faster than we'd expected. The Curve is being released online and in retail outlets across the country this Friday.
AT&T customers can expect to shell out $199 for their new Curve. Unfortunately AT&T is not offering 3G connectivity for the 8900, but at least they're offering the phone for a very reasonable price. Honestly, I expect most of AT&T's Curve sales to be corporate. BlackBerries are popular corporate phones, and most of the private smartphone market tends to want 3G connectivity with their phones these days.

BlackBerry Curve 8900 Review
Our review partner Digital Trends tested the BlackBerry Curve 8900 and published this review.
Quote from the review: "Despite a rather conservative past, RIM has been advancing by leaps and bounds in the last six months or so. The Storm made a splash as the first touch-screen BlackBerry, the Pearl Flip folded its way into history as the first clamshell BlackBerry, and the Bold stood out as the very first 3G BlackBerry. With siblings that carry the BlackBerry name forward in so many ways, it's easy to dismiss the Curve 8900 as more of the same from the Canadian company.
