Samsung has launched its own App Store for Samsung mobile phones. The site offers up only applications that are compatible with Samsung phones.
The site is actually powered by PocketGear. PocketGear provides a platform to distribute mobile smartphone apps from 30,000 developers. The company runs for PocketGear.com, SymbianGear.com, PalmGear.com, AndroidGear.com, RIMGear.com, Smartphone.net, and Mobile2Day.com and for more than 15 partners including Palm, Sony Ericsson, T-Online, and AOL. ETRADE Baby Super Bowl Ad 2009 is cute
ETrade brought the Baby Super Bowl ads back again this year and it is again funny and very cute.
Besides discussing how ETrade can help in the bad economy the 2nd Baby in the spot tries some singing.
Last year the ETrade Baby Super Bowl ad was the most viewed on TiVo. I'm not sure if it can pull that off again this year against funny spots like the Bridgestone Taters.

iRiver Mplayer Silicone Cases are damn cute
Korean iRiver launched a series of silicone cases for their Mickey Mouse inspired Mplayer. These candy colored cases make the Mplayer even cuter.
iRiver started shipping the Mplayer in June in Korea. Outside Korea the iRiver Mplayer is selling in numbers on eBay for around $80.
Now iRiver sells silicone cases in four colors for the ears and head of the Mplayer.
The available colors include lemon, melon, lavender, and pink. The head and ears are always in different colors.

Gutter Cleaning Robot Looj.
The iRobot Looj cleans an entire stretch of gutter from one location, reducing the number of times a ladder must be repositioned and climbed during gutter cleaning. The 2.25-inch high Looj drives under gutter straps propelled by a three-stage auger that dislodges and sweeps out dirt, leaves and other debris that can cause costly water damage, overspills and ice dams.

Latest Actroid Female Robot Looks Cuter and Wears Hello Kitty
Japanese animatronics company Kokoro updated its Actroid female robot. I first did not get why the Actroid wears a Hello Kitty T-Shirt, until I saw that Kokoro now belongs to the Sanrio Group, who is responsible for the Hello Kitty stuff polluting the world.
If you compare the face of the orginal Actroid from 2003 with the current one, you can see that she got much more attractive looking. She looks younger and happier too.
The new Actroid version DER2 can apparently deliver more facial expressions. The female robot can still not walk around, but besides that she looks, speaks and behaves very life-like.

Cute Ugobe Pleo Dino Robot Misses This Holiday Season
Ugobe introduced their amazing 'alive' Pleo baby Dinosaur robot at the DEMO 06 in February.
The company just informed us that the initial target for the Pleo release of Q3 2006 has slipped. Customers will be able to pre-order earliest on December 24th. Pleo will ship early March 2007 and will also show up then on store shelves.

I4U's January Gadget Photo Model Amy Plays with Cute i-Dog
We started to feature monthly I4U Gadget Models last year in August. Because of the big success we continue 2006 with this tradition. We are happy to present Amy as our January Gadget Photo Model.
Amy is featuring the Hasbro iDog, which was a hot Holiday gift item. It still hard to find. Amazon.com is still sold out. The i-Dogs come already in Black, Pink and Blue and accessories like bags or little outfits are available.
Amy can be seen soon on the big screen as Female Reaper #2 (sounds scary) in a feature film about to be released called "The Other Side" (site). The movie will be introduced at the SlamDance (this is not SunDance) film festival in Utah.

The Cute iDog Puppies are One of the Hottest Gifts This Holiday Season
The white iDog from Hasbro sold in the United States is since about a week not in stock anymore on the major online Retailers Amazon.com and Wal-mart.
Besides the Xbox 360, the iPod nano, the Hasbro/Sega iDog/i-Dog has joined the league of hottest gifts for this holiday season.
The prices have gone up for the iDog. The cheap deals on Amazon.com ($24.99) and Wal-Mart ($24.72) are not available anymore.
Some stores sell it still for $34.95. But for that price you actually can consider to order a
pink iDog from Asia, which are not available in the US. Actually prices for those have gone up too.
They pink iDog is now selling for $39 on
AudioCubes. The blue iDog is sold out.

Gremlins Gizmo as Singing Plush Toy - It Does not get any Cuter!

The Warner Brothers store is actually selling a Plush Gizmo that can sing and do a wiggling dance.
Gizmo is a blast from the past. The Gremlins movie featuring cute Gizmo is from 1984.
The Gizmo toy features a plush body with apparently lifelike fur, hand painted vinyl ears, face, feet, and hands, and an 11 inch ear span (interesting specification). Approximately 8 inches tall. Batteries included. Gizmo is for ages 8 and up, but actually I think it is a great gift for people who have been teens in the 80s.

So Cute! i-Dog Wearing a Chill Set
We mentioned the Hasbro i-Dog Chill Set accessory in the i-Dog Bag story a couple days ago. Back then I could not find a photo. I4U reader Lette T. found one at iWantitCheaper (Thanks!). I find the dressed i-Dog hilarious, especially the Ear Muffs.
In the i-Dog Chill there is also a scarf, a hat and boots for the poor freezing little music robot pooch.

The xcute DV2 sports a cool 6MP digital camera.
The xcute DV2 is already supposed to start selling in mid August. The small camera phone will feature 4x zoom, LED Flash, 22 shooting modes, 2" screen, MiniSD card slot and 20MB built-in storage.
