Denon Surround Receiver Tops in US

Denon announced today that its surround sound receivers were ranked number one in the US market. Denon’s AV receiver’s ranked number one in sales dollars for the month of February in the US representing a 23% share of the surround receiver market.

This data comes from the NPD Group’s Retail Tracking Service. Denon says this is the first time that it has earned a leading position in the US market regardless of sales channels. Denon makes a variety of receivers from entry level units to multi-thousand dollar high-end receivers. Read more

The Denon name is synonymous with performance AV products to many people, and the fantastic 2.1 Denon S-301 Home Entertainment System lives up to the family name.

While the system’s only 2.1 it uses Dolby Virtual Surround Sound to attempt to recreate the feeling of true 5.1 sound. On the whole the system is high quality, has great picture quality and carries a price tag higher than many quality 5.1 systems. Read more
