New Nintendo DSi To be As Fast As The Wii? Technology News, Electronics Buy Guide and Gadget Review

Nintendo fanboys; prepare to start salivating. It looks like Iwata and his boys have finally found a way to set their handheld gaming devices above the iPhone. Since they can't match the versatility of a smartphone with something like the DS, Nintendo intends to attract consumers back to handheld gaming by offering them graphics quality that no iPhone game can compete with. Digital Foundry (via Electronista) reports that the new DSi will pack a Tegra 2 processor.

Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks, Out For DS/DSi December 7th

Topic:

Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks, Out For DS/DSi December 7th Technology News, Electronics Buy Guide and Gadget Review

I was a very, very little kid in the days of the original Nintendo console. As a result, some of my earliest memories are of sitting in front of the TV and trying unsuccessfully to beat the original Legend of Zelda. I never managed it, but that didn't hurt my enjoyment of the game in any way. Now a new generation of wee little nerds will get a chance to get to know the world of Hyrule with Nintendo's latest title for DS/DSi; The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks.

In this continuation of one of gaming's oldest series, due out on December 7th, players will control both the spirit of Princess Zelda and the ever-present hero, Link. Zelda's spirit will accompany the irrepressible Link and, at times, fight alongside him by jumping into empty suits of armor, called Phantoms. The Press Release also said something about a customizable train. I'm not sure exactly how that'll work, but it sounds awesome.
